Responsibilities of Merchandise Stock Associate:

  • Follows set operating procedures to ring up customer purchases and manage returns effectively
  • Suggests promoting credit and loyalty programs as part of customer interactions
  • Upholds and follows the merchandising philosophy along with established procedures and standards
  • Adheres to company protocols and standards while preparing and organizing merchandise for placement on the sales floor
  • Takes the lead and joins in store recovery as needed during the day
  • Ensures compliance with the organizational, cleanliness, and recovery criteria for the sales area and participates in the overall store cleanliness upkeep
  • Provides and welcomes consistent appreciation and constructive feedback
  • Upholds all labor regulations, policies, and procedural guidelines
  • Participates in and supports programs focusing on reducing store shrink
  • Engages in actions that emphasize safety awareness and the maintenance of a safe setting
  • Follows through with any additional responsibilities given
