Job Summary of Outdoor Merchandise Associate:
Responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience demonstrated by engaging and interacting with all customers, embodying customer experience principals and philosophy, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Adheres to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. May be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store in order to support the needs of the business.
Responsibilities of Outdoor Merchandise Associate:
- Champions of exceptional customer service showcase successful approaches that enhance interactions with both internal and external clients
- Supports and embodies a healthy store atmosphere through transparency, ethical behavior, and consideration
- Provides accurate change back to customers and processes transactions in adherence to operating procedures
- Stresses the importance of discussing credit and loyalty programs with customers
- Acts in accordance with the merchandising philosophy by following established procedures and standards
- Correctly follows company procedures and guidelines in preparing merchandise for display and sale
- Begins and participates in store recovery as required throughout the day
- Ensures the adherence to organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards specific to the sales floor and actively participates in keeping the entire store clean
- Provides and receives continuous praise and supportive critique
- Observes and implements all labor protocols, policies, and legal statutes
- Takes part in efforts to achieve store shrink reduction goals and initiatives
- Participates in promoting safety awareness and maintaining a hazard-free setting
- Performs any other duties as deemed appropriate
